Subject: North Pacific Argo float data: An Important Notice


Dear "North Pacific Argo float data set" users,

On April 7, the Argo Steering Team announced the following advice
on pressure biases in the Argo data.

However, at the moment, I am not planning any modification to my data.
Because,
  - The pressure biases are estimated to be smaller than 1-2 dbar
    for most of the data
  - The data with large pressure biases are expected to have been
     removed by my data check.

Nevertheless, if you intend to study a theme such as ocean heat content
that can be seriously affected by these pressure biases, I would strongly
recommend that you use pressure-adjusted, delayed-mode QC data
instead of my data set.
